The PH5 Mini pendant is a smaller version of one of the most iconic lighting designs of the 20th century. Originally designed in 1958, its design is still based on Henningsen’s celebrated three-shade system which allows it to direct the majority of its light downwards. This makes its illumination entirely free from glare, while simultaneously creating a sculptural effect.
A truly clever design, the lamp features four shades crafted from powder-coated spun aluminium in a range of eye-catching hues, and is accented by rolled aluminium struts in a bronze finish. Designed to eliminate glare
The PH5 Pendant Light was designed in 1958 by Danish designer Poul Henningsen, who was deeply concerned with how artificial light affected people’s comfort. His goal was to create a pendant that provided soft, even illumination without ever exposing the bulb directly to the eye — and he succeeded brilliantly. -
The name has a hidden meaning
The “PH” stands for Poul Henningsen, and the “5” refers to the 50-centimetre diameter of the main shade. This naming convention is typical of Henningsen’s analytical, engineering-minded approach to lighting design. -

- For regular sized packages we use an overnight courier company, usually either DPD or APC.
- For oversized, heavy or awkward packages a more bespoke delivery service will be provided.

What happens when I order?
- If your order is in stock, you should have your item(s) within 3-5 days of placing your order, but please note there can be a small increase in delivery time during busy periods.
- Free Click & Collect is available from all of our showroom locations and from our warehouse in Ludlow. This can be selected as an option within our checkout. PLEASE NOTE: Stock is not held in our stores and your order will need to be transferred from our warehouse to the relevant store - this can take 4-8 days. For in stock items, the fastest way to receive your order is to have it delivered directly to you.
Returns
- All goods can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they do not meet your requirements.
- Returned goods must be returned with all parts, packaging, and instructions in perfect condition for a refund to be issued.
