If you work from home, a desk chair is perhaps the most important part of the home office. A well-designed home office chair not only adds personality to the room but helps to create a productive and focused working environment. Our collection of designer office chairs brings together pieces that combine ergonomics with aesthetics, looking good and supporting you for years to come.
At Holloways of Ludlow, we curate furniture that sits beautifully in contemporary homes. Our range includes designs from well-known and acclaimed brands such as Vitra, &Tradition, GUBI, HAY and Fritz Hansen. You will find everything from ergonomic swivel office chairs to luxury leather office chairs with adjustable height and tilt, to upholstered desk chairs that bring warmth and texture to your workspace.
Designed for real work and real homes
Whether you work long hours from home or drop in here and there for calls, a home office chair should provide support throughout the day, adapting to your movements and keeping you comfortable. Many of the designs in this collection are ergonomic office chairs, made with adjustable seats, supportive backs and breathable materials. The Freedom Headrest Chair by Humanscale is an excellent example of this with back support, movable arm rests and head rest.
For those who prefer a softer look, explore upholstered desk chairs in wool, linen or boucle, ideal for blending into a living space or study. Choose a design like the HAY AAC 253 for cushioned comfort and a variety of fabric choices. A brown leather office chair like Vitra’s Lobby Chair adds depth and warmth to a space as well as mid-century character. This design is also available as a black office chair suiting minimal or industrial style rooms.
Our collection includes many swivel desk chairs and reclining office chairs. These options work well in flexible, multi-use spaces where style and practicality meet. Every piece has been selected to offer the right mix of durability, comfort and modern design.
Built with precision, made to last
Each design in this collection is made with quality construction and manufacturing techniques. High quality materials are chosen for resilience, including steel frames, solid oak bases and premium upholstery. These details ensure your home office chair remains reliable and comfortable with daily use.
Pair with one of our designer desks for a luxury desk and chair combination. Many of our pieces are available in matching finishes, creating harmony in form and material, helping you create a cohesive workspace.
FAQs
How to choose a home office chair?
Start with posture and scale. Look for a chair with adjustable height and back support. The seat should allow your feet to rest flat on the floor and your arms to sit comfortably at desk height. Think about your interior and decide on the style of chair that would complement your space.
Which desk chair is most comfortable?
A swivel office chair with lumbar support and adjustable features offers the best comfort for long hours as it allows for movement and doesn’t lock you in to the same position. Upholstered designs with padding or curved backs distribute pressure evenly and encourage better posture.
What desk chair is best for posture?
An ergonomic office chair with adjustable lumbar support and tilt control helps maintain a natural spine position.
Do you sell matching office desk and chairs?
Yes. Many of our brands have created matching desk and chairs sets. Our collection also includes pieces that complement each other in both style and finish. You can pair these together for a cohesive look.
