Our highly curated collections include iconic mid-century classics and contemporary future designs from brands including Carl Hansen & Søn, HAY, &Tradition, Case Furniture, Vitra, Audo Copenhagen, Kartell, Knoll and Fritz Hansen. We source directly from brands, offering our customers an unparalleled choice of high-end dining furniture, luxury sofas and striking statement pieces.
Choosing high-end designer furniture is an investment in skilled craftsmanship, beauty of form and material longevity. Unlike mass-produced furniture, authentic designer pieces are built to last generations using premium, sustainably sourced materials like solid hardwoods, quality leathers and high-performance textiles. At Holloways of Ludlow, our philosophy is that good design must look beautiful, function well and last a lifetime.
Each designer piece usually includes an identifying brand mark or serial number, usually found on the underside of the frame. With over 40 years’ experience in the furniture industry, Holloways of Ludlow deal directly with our brands. This means our customers can buy in confidence, knowing they’ll receive an authentic product.
Contemporary furniture design is currently shaped by three popular aesthetics. Scandinavian minimalism blends clean lines with high quality, natural materials to create highly functional pieces. Mid-century furniture designs are continuously in demand, with iconic pieces being reissued or brought up to date for modern living. Recently, there has been growing popularity for sculptural forms that play with geometric shapes and bold colour, adding unexpected accents and personality to interiors. You can explore pieces representing all of these design movements in the Holloways of Ludlow furniture collection.
Preserving the beauty of luxury solid wood furniture requires simple but consistent care. When cleaning, use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to dust. Every so often, the use of a damp cloth is okay, but avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Always use coasters and blot away spills as soon as they happen. Regularly re-oil or wax your wooden furniture to keep the wood grain looking its best.
Yes, you can experience the quality and comfort of our designer furniture range first-hand across our UK showrooms. Feeling the texture of the fabrics and testing the comfort of a lounge chair or sofa in person is invaluable. We have beautifully curated showrooms in London (Wimbledon Village and Bermondsey), Bath and Winchester, where our expert staff can guide you through fabric swatches, wood finishes, and custom configurations.
