The popular VL collection originally designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for Louis Poulsen. This collaboration began in 1945 where they produced the very first VL 45 Lamp; joining their shared lighting philosophies and visions to create an iconic collection that is still manufactured to this day.
Vilhelm Lauritzen was a leading figure in Danish modernism. Born in 1894 in Copenhagen, Denmark, he made his name as an architect and industrial designer with such buildings as The Radiohuset.
