The Shelf X bookcase, designed by Naoto Fukasawa for B&B Italia in 2006, is a striking yet understated piece. It’s construction from homogeneous white Corian, allows for thin surfaces and crisp geometric lines, creating a minimal, almost sculptural presence. The sloping shelves and intersecting interior panels form a distinctive 'X' pattern, adding visual interest without detracting from its clean aesthetic.

Finished entirely in white, the bookcase evokes the impression of a seamless marble carving. Its refined simplicity makes it a versatile addition to any living or dining space, offering ample storage or display options. Accessible from both sides, the Shelf X combines practicality with timeless elegance, making it an ideal choice for those who value both form and function.
