Bernstorffsminde SH Chair

The Bernstorffsminde SH Chair, designed by Søren Holst, is a distinctive piece that reflects the marriage of classic American Shaker design with Danish craftsmanship. Made from premium solid oak, the chair is built to be durable while maintaining a lightweight and elegant profile. Its clean lines, gently rounded edges, and a subtly curved backrest provide ergonomic support without sacrificing minimalist style. The unupholstered wooden seat complements the chair’s natural oak frame, emphasizing the simplicity and functionality inherent in Shaker design traditions.

This chair is available in a variety of wood finishes including soaped oak, oiled oak, smoked and oiled oak, black lacquered oak, and oiled walnut. Measuring 48cm in width, 43cm in depth, and 91cm in height, with a seat height designed for comfortable dining or desk use, the SH Chair fits effortlessly into both traditional and contemporary interiors. It pairs perfectly with the SH Shaker Table to create a cohesive dining set but also stands well as a versatile chair for living rooms, offices, or meeting spaces. The combination of robust materials and timeless design ensures this chair will remain a functional and stylish element of your home or workspace for years to come.
