Design House Stockholm Air Sideboard

The Air sideboard by Design House Stockholm is designed to sit comfortably in the centre of a room rather than disappear against a wall. Its structure is defined by a rhythmic pattern of ribs combined with woven cane panels, giving the piece a light, open quality that feels more like a divider than a solid storage unit.

The cane inlays introduce both texture and subtle transparency, allowing glimpses of what is stored inside while softening the overall appearance. This semi-open construction also serves a practical purpose, supporting airflow within the cabinet which makes it suitable for storing everything from clothing to electronic equipment.

Whether used as a freestanding room divider or positioned along a wall, Air adapts easily to different layouts. When lit from within, the woven surface catches the light and takes on a gentle glow, turning a functional storage piece into something with a quieter, atmospheric presence in the room.
