Design House Stockholm Wick Chair

The Design House Stockholm Wick Chair is a striking piece of furniture that mixes clean, straight lines with a deeply curvaceous form. Designed by Jesper Stahl and Karl Malmvall, this eye-catching chair is a fantastic talking point in any room, offering a completely distinct visual dynamic. The designers wanted to create something truly unique, balancing a respect for natural materials with a fresh, forward-thinking aesthetic.

Taking its direct inspiration from the traditional woven splint baskets found in Swedish craft history, the chair features a warped, grid-like shell made from high-quality timber veneer. This clever weave construction is not just decorative; it is highly functional. The sculptural frame gently flexes as you sit, supporting the natural contours of the body with ease. This ensures the chair is just as comfortable for long dinners or meetings as it is stylish to look at.

Perfect for a contemporary dining room, a home office workspace, or as a standalone feature piece in the hallway, the Wick Chair is built to handle everyday use while maintaining its shape. Depending on your personal style and room layout, the shell is available in beautiful natural wood finishes and can be paired with several different base options, including classic matching wooden legs or a sleek metal frame.
