Fredericia Plan Bar Stool with Metal Legs

The Fredericia Plan Bar Stool with Metal Legs has an easy, understated feel that works naturally in all sorts of spaces, from kitchens and cafés through to busier shared interiors. The shape stays compact and visually light, though it’s more comfortable than it first appears. It comes in either Black with Lacquered Oak or Black Lacquered with Black Ash, and each finish shifts the character slightly. One feels warmer and softer, the other a little sharper and more architectural.

What makes the stool feel convincing is the balance between practicality and comfort. The metal frame gives it a cleaner, more structured edge, but the overall design never feels harsh or overly industrial. It’s durable enough for demanding hospitality and workplace settings, yet still feels relaxed enough for everyday use at home. The EU Ecolabel certification also reflects the more thoughtful side of the design, though it’s not something the stool draws attention to.

This is the kind of piece that settles into a room very easily. Around a kitchen island, bar table or collaborative workspace, it feels straightforward and well judged without trying too hard. The proportions are carefully handled, which you tend to appreciate more over time. If you’d like to explore additional customisation options, please contact sales@hollowaysofludlow.com.
