GUBI Multi-Lite Floor Lamp | Holloways of Ludlow

The GUBI Multi-Lite Floor Lamp, designed by Danish architect Louis Weisdorf in 1972, reflects a design philosophy centred on flexibility and variation. Its distinctive form combines timeless structure with a playful ability to change the direction and mood of light.

The lamp’s two outer shades can be rotated independently, allowing the light to be directed upwards, downwards or asymmetrically without exposing the bulb. A central metal ring anchors the quarter-spherical shades, creating a balanced composition built from simple geometric elements.

Well suited to living rooms and lounge areas, the Multi-Lite Floor Lamp offers both functional illumination and decorative presence. Its adjustable design encourages personal configurations, making it a versatile lighting choice for interiors that benefit from adaptable ambient light.
