Oluce Coupe 1159 Wall Light

The Oluce Coupé 1159 Wall Light is part of Joe Colombo’s iconic Coupé series, a 1967 design that redefined adjustable lighting. Sharing its base and stem with the earlier Spider collection, it uses a simple but ingenious mechanism that allows the dome-shaped head to move up, down, and sideways for precise light control. The result is a wall light that delivers both direct and reflected illumination with striking visual clarity.

A winner of the 1968 International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago, the Coupé is held in the permanent collections of MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung in Munich. Available in black or white lacquered metal, it remains a modern classic more than fifty years after its debut.
