Tom Raffield Skipper Pendant Light

The Tom Raffield Skipper Pendant Light is made up of curved timber petals that sit around the bulb, creating a shape that feels organic rather than overly designed. It comes from the Skipper Lighting Range, where simple forms are paired with the curved timber Tom Raffield is known for.

Each pendant is individually handcrafted from sustainably sourced ash, oak or walnut using a dry construction method. The open shape lets light travel upwards and out through the timber, casting a mix of bright light and stronger shadows across the room. It looks quite different once it is switched on, which is part of its appeal.

The Skipper is a good fit above a dining table, in a living room or anywhere that could use a little more character from the lighting. It has a presence, but the open construction stops it from feeling heavy. A well-made wooden pendant that works just as well when it is switched off.
