Finn Juhl The Poet Sofa in Walnut

Experience the ultimate comfort and craftsmanship with the Finn Juhl The Poet Sofa. Designed for Finn Juhl’s own home and unveiled at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1941, this small two-seater sofa conveys a sense of comfort, respect for materials, and exceptional artistry.

The Poet Sofa’s organic curves were inspired by surrealist art and echoed by sculptural plaster reliefs exhibited alongside it. The fully upholstered padded frame creates a snug and inviting seat, forming a comfortable embrace for two people to sit close together. The Poet Sofa is not only a comfortable piece of furniture but a work of art that signifies the connection between furniture and sculpture.

Its name was inspired by a Danish cartoonist who depicted the exact sofa as the place where a young poet would retreat to contemplate life’s complexities.

Add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your living space with the Finn Juhl The Poet Sofa, a true icon of Danish design.
