Fredericia Swoon Dining Wood Base Armchair

The Fredericia Swoon Dining Wood Base Armchair feels closer to a small lounge chair than a typical dining chair, which is really the appeal of it. Designed by Space Copenhagen, it was created for longer dinners, meetings and shared spaces where comfort matters just as much as appearance. The softer shape and upholstered seat give it a much more relaxed feel around a table, without losing the practicality needed for everyday use.

The curved shell supports the body naturally, so you don’t find yourself constantly adjusting position after sitting for a while. Underneath the upholstery there’s a solid structure with a reinforced frame, though visually the chair still feels light and uncomplicated. The timber legs add warmth and keep the overall look grounded, whether the chair is upholstered in fabric or leather. It’s comfortable in a quiet, understated way rather than anything overly engineered.

The Swoon Dining Wood Base Armchair works particularly well in dining rooms, meeting areas and hospitality settings where people are likely to spend longer periods seated. It also fits naturally into more relaxed open-plan interiors where formal dining furniture can sometimes feel too rigid.
