Fritz Hansen Riviera Garden Sunbed

The Fritz Hansen Riviera Garden Sunbed, designed by Povl B. Eskildsen, is a versatile outdoor piece that reflects the collection’s clean, functional design language. Defined by its simple slatted construction and balanced proportions, it offers a calm and understated presence that works naturally across terraces, patios, and garden spaces. First introduced in 1990, the Riviera series has become an outdoor classic, valued for its flexibility and straightforward approach to design.

Crafted from 100% FSC-certified teak with stainless steel fittings, the sunbed is designed to make efficient use of materials while maintaining strength and durability. Its ingenious adjustable construction allows it to transform between a sunbed, bench, and coffee table, adapting easily to different uses throughout the day. The lightweight yet robust build makes it practical for everyday outdoor living, offering both comfort and versatility in one piece.

A tailored Riviera Cushion is available to enhance comfort, designed to fold and adapt alongside the changing positions of the sunbed. Made from Oeko-Tex® certified, weatherproof fabric, the cushion is colourfast, lightfast, water and dirt repellent, and mildew resistant. Its quick-dry foam allows air and water to pass through while maintaining a firm and supportive feel, with an anti-slip backing to keep it securely in place. Over time, the teak will naturally patinate, developing a soft silver-grey tone that enhances its character and individuality.
