Tom Raffield Urchin Pendant Light

The Tom Raffield Urchin Pendant Light brings a natural, sculptural feel to the brand’s lighting collection. Made to sit comfortably in living rooms, bedrooms and other relaxed spaces, its open form allows the light to become part of the design rather than simply illuminating it.

Made from sustainable ash, oak or walnut, the shade is formed from 32 individual pieces of wood joined with laser-cut birch plates. The construction keeps the bulb neatly concealed while allowing light to pass through the gaps between the timber, creating a warm pattern of light and shadow when switched on.

The Urchin works particularly well on its own above a table or in a bedroom, while several can be grouped together where a little more presence is needed. It has plenty of character without feeling difficult to live with, making it an easy choice for interiors that favour natural materials and considered lighting.
